Parliamentary Role-Play at

Kingsway Christian College

17 May 2010

As part of his Parliamentary Role Play program, Luke visited the Year 7 students at Kingsway Christian College in Madeley to give them a better understanding of how the Parliament works.

 

 

Luke also runs a more in-depth Parliamentary Role Play for High School Students which also covers the way the preferential voting system works. More than twenty schools in Cowan have taken advantage of Luke’s educational initiative in the past twelve months.

 


Anzac Day in Wanneroo

25 April 2010

Luke joined hundreds of local people at the Wanneroo War Memorial to remember those who sacrificed their lives at Gallipoli and in other conflicts.

Prior to the service at Wanneroo Luke attended the Dawn Service at the Ballajura Memorial Peace Park. Later in the day he attended a number of smaller commemmorative events with the community.


Tony Abbott Visits Cowan

15 February 2010

Opposition Leader The Hon Tony Abbott MHR visisted Kingsway Shopping Centre to chat with business owners and local residents.

At a morning tea hosted by Kingsway City and Kingsway Newsagency, Mr Abbott mingled with shoppers and conducted media interviews.

Prior to the visit he joined Federal Member for Cowan Luke Simpkins and Premier Colin Barnett at Madeley Primary School.
